Jonas Salk Middle School
Team 6-2 Homework Policy
Team
6-2 believes that homework is a valuable tool that facilitates in student achievement here at Salk. We give homework because it reinforces what has been done in class, prepares students for upcoming lessons,
and helps students develop self-discipline, responsibility, and organization skills.
Homework
will be assigned Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday nights, and from time to time, over a weekend to complete a project.
Tests
will be given throughout each marking period. Mid-term and Final Exams will be
given in January and June, respectively. Adequate notice will be given for all
tests. Any test that receives the grade of a C- or lower must be signed within
two days by a parent or guardian and returned shown to the classroom teacher.
Student’s Homework Responsibilities
- All assignments will be completed and turned in on time.
- Students are responsible for making up homework missed due to absence

- Students will only receive credit for work that is neatly done and formatted
with the proper heading.
